What We Do
Digital Seat is a “bridge” for consumers to receive engaging content and valuable offers from their favorite teams, artists, and brands in a contextually relevant environment easily shareable with friends and family. We empower our brand partners with analytical tools to ensure their content is relevant and achieves the desired impact.
Digital Seat Media was founded by two technology consultants, Cameron Fowler and Matthew Sullivan, who realized that in-venue advertising has largely gone unchanged for the past 30 years. While cell phones have taken over peoples daily lives and the way that we interact with each other and the world around us, most advertising tactics inside of a venue remained focused on Jumbotron ads and static posters. Most sports teams have decided that native mobile applications are the only answer to direct fan engagement, but with the barrier to customer acquisition being so high, and cellular networks still not being as reliable as needed for a seamless user experience, that is just not the case.
In 2012, While working on a project in the field of Near Field Communication technology, Cameron and Matt realized that it was possible to pass small bits of data between the NFC tags and a mobile device and Digital Seat Media was born. The Digital Seat platform set out with the goal to offer the right content, to the right person, in the right place, at the right time, without the need to download an app.
